Combining the purest ingredients with innovative packaging and extraordinary taste, Metromint single-handedly created a new beverage category called mintwater. Metromint already has a loyal following. Metromint was introduced to the public at the New York Fancy Food Show in 2004.

Eco-Efficiency

It’s a pretty good planet and we’d like to help keep it that way. That’s why we have committed to buying renewable energy to run our bottling plant and office. This purchase of 260,000 kWh of renewable energy for our bottling plant alone will prevent 363,000 pounds of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere…the equivalent of taking 32 cars off the road or planting 4,900 trees. We have also replaced all our incandescent light bulbs with fluorescents, and we are vigilant about keeping the by-products of our manufacturing process out of the waste stream.

Our bottles are recyclable, except, did you know that hard plastic caps are usually not accepted in municipal recycling programs? To compensate, we support Aveda’s cap recycling program.

We’re continually looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact. That means composting and recycling in our office, ordering office supplies that give back, and working with our vendors and suppliers to always consider local and eco-friendly options when sourcing materials. Current vendors include Greener Printer (local, eco-friendly printing), California Lithographers (local, FSC certified printing), and Lucky Mule (local silkscreen shop). We print all of our t-shirts on American Apparel (wearables made in the USA).

We’re eager to learn more, so email us your energy-saving and eco-friendly suggestions. We would love to hear from you!
